Establish/strengthen global supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps for Timing System, VCT and Solenoids. Understand upcoming program sourcing and key milestone in support of launch. Lead process to source on time and satisfy program targets, including working closely with PD to develop forward model cost targets. Drive/ lead Best Cost at J1, both through initial sourcing and design changes • Lead design competitions and market tests. Provide feedback to valued supply partners on cost position relative to market to build effective long-term, productive relationships. Support future Program Workshops - identify opportunities to achieve vehicle competitive pricing. Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost, etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation. Co-lead and develop together with PD commodity strategies, along with deployment of strategy for ICE to BEV migration.
