We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our team in Waukesha, WI. This role is responsible for managing material planning, purchasing, and inventory control to ensure the availability of products and components that support production schedules and customer demand. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and able to work cross‑functionally to maintain optimal inventory levels and supplier performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Supplier ManagementSource, select, and purchase materials, components, and services based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to support organizational goals.Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or invoice discrepancies.Planning & Inventory ManagementDevelop and maintain production and material plans based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and historical usage.Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess supply.Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to support on‑time delivery and efficient material flow.Data & Process ManagementAnalyze inventory data and recommend adjustments to safety stock levels.Monitor MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system data and ensure accuracy of item records.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain processes.Prepare reporting on supplier performance, inventory metrics, and planning accuracy.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field — or equivalent experience.2–5 years of experience in buying, planning, or supply chain roles.Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data tools.Job Type & Location

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
