**Job Description**
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies needed to support production schedules and customer demand.
+ Collaborate with production planning, engineering, and operations teams to align material availability with manufacturing requirements.
+ Analyze material requirements using ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data.
+ Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; evaluate supplier performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues.
+ Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to optimize cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.
+ Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
+ Track and report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
+ Resolve supply chain challenges quickly to minimize impact on production schedules.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement and materials management processes.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
+ For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
+ For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Desired Characteristics
+ Buying/purchasing experience in a **manufacturing environment** .
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data analysis).
+ Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
+ Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
+ Results-driven with a focus on meeting deadlines and supporting production goals.
+ Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
Pay Transparency:
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - $110,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% annual performance incentive.
