We are hiring for a Buyer Planner to join our fast-paced team in Marion, KY, where you will plan and control quantities for assigned logistic processes, inventories and stocks, to ensure a 100% availability of all input factors and to contribute to superior logistic process quality. Multi-tasking, prioritization, and problem-solving will be key skills as this role participates in semi-complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials. This role is a central liaison which will collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Project Management, Commodity Management and others.

What your day-to-day will look like:Vendor and Internal Partner Liaison: Expedite processes and serve as a liaison, obtaining approvals for large purchases and resolving delivery, quality, and invoice issues.Project and Purchasing Systems: Update project plans, review requisitions, and handle supply plans for both domestic and international purchases.Forecasting and Planning: Conduct regular forecasting and planning for various indicators such as turnover, production, and inventory.Metric Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on key performance indicators, detect deviations, and recommend corrective actions.Supplier Management: Develop supplier forecasts, manage logistical processes, and handle material provision and delivery. Invoice resolution, PO and Requisition maintenance.Partner Collaboration: Maintain a network and cooperate with all involved.Daily Operations: Review MRP, manage new orders, handle nonconforming materials, update part data, resolve invoice issues, and pull reports from SAP.Documentation and Maintenance: Handle supplier-required forms, maintain PO and requisition records, and handle confirmations and late POs within SAP.To thrive in this role, you have:5 years of overall experience related to Supply Chain.4-year undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Logistics or other relevant subject area.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate with both internal and external partnersMicrosoft Suite computer skills, with exceptional skills in Excel & working with large data sets.Excellent verbal and communications skillsDemonstrated understanding of entire supply chainProven data and financial analysis capability (SAP and Tableau preferred)What will set you apart:Successful Negotiation experienceSAP experienceCross-functional/organizational facilitation skills (internal and external)Experience in Siemens business systemsSolid continuous improvement skills

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
