Under the minimal supervision of the Purchasing Manager. Buyers must provide consistency and possess good attention to detail. Buyer manages the supply chain to support the overall needs of the business (sourcing and negotiating with new and existing suppliers, materials, and services as needed to increase capacities, improve quality, and reduce costs); reviews demand requirements and places purchase orders as needed to meet those requirements; and participates in team activities as required. This role will engage in contracting, international and domestic merch fulfillment activities, communication with suppliers as well as internal and external customers, and overall project management.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Runs the order recommendation, reviews, and releases orders according to MRP suggestions and considers stock rotation objectives and needs by dates.
+ Ensures on-time delivery for open orders to suppliers and works on establishing an efficient working cooperation with them.
+ Create, Issue, maintain, and expedite purchase orders for assigned drop ship requisitions.
+ Enters/updates part item information into the ERP System.
+ Ensures the availability of items for the flow of production processes according to demand and inventory availability objectives.
+ Analyses possible issues and the options regarding the availability of items and takes necessary actions.
+ Follows the order acknowledgement received from suppliers and inputs the dates in the ERP systems, to make sure that all orders have a promised date received within the specified time frame.
+ Follows ASCP signals to make sure parts are delivered in due time and without creating excess (Exception Messages: Compression Days, Pull In, Push Out, Cancellation messages).
+ Consistent review of invoicing price or count discrepancy. Communicates with the finance team to have them release for payment.
+ Updates suppliers' contact details in the ERP system when needed.
+ Updates item attributes whenever there is a change.
+ Monitor potential risks caused by delivery delay etc., and take necessary actions with other departments to ensure the availability of the product.
+ Communicates suppliers' related issues with the sourcing group to ensure proper development measures are taken.
+ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be able to interact with associates and managers in various departments/countries and resolve common concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Materials Management, or Supply Chain Management, or any related field is preferred.
+ 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing or Production Scheduling/Planning area.
+ Experience working with the Oracle ERP system (preferred).
+ knowledge of MRP and Capacity Planning and sound S&OP Experience.
+ Basic understanding of engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis (preferred).
+ Import/Export/Incoterms knowledge.
+ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Highly organized and detail oriented.
+ Good analytical and problem-solving skills and be attentive to detail work in a dynamic environment.
+ APICS / CPM certification (preferred).
+ Lean / Manufacturing environment or experience (desired).
+ Ability to maintain positive work relationships with all work associates.
+ Ability to maintain good customer relations.
+ Skilled in negotiations, conflict management, and change management.
