We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Buyer to join our team in Sumter, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient inventory management.

Assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards are metAnalyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savingsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill purchasing requirementsMaintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data in the ERP systemNegotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedulesPrepare and analyze reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performanceMonitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting future needsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activitiesAssist in the evaluation and onboarding of new suppliersContribute to process improvement initiatives within the procurement department

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field2 years of professional experience1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skillsExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal)Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasksKnowledge of supply chain management principles and inventory managementFamiliarity with vendor management and supplier relationship best practicesDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiencyAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of data analysis and reporting techniquesContinental is able to offer relocation assistance for current internal employees onlyLegal Authorization to work in the US is required.
