Overview
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, products, or services needed to support business operations. This role works closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure materials, components, or services in line with demand and inventory plans
Issue and manage purchase orders; track open orders and resolve delivery issues
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost and service levels
Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spend data to identify savings opportunities
Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records in ERP systems
Collaborate with planning, operations, finance, and quality teams to support business needs
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, D365, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Strong communication and vendor management skills
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or regulated environments
Familiarity with inventory management and demand planning concepts

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
