Job Description

This role involves acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the products we sell and purchase. The successful candidate will familiarize themselves with organizational roles, place orders based on ERP system requirements as requested, and assist in identifying potential sources. They will manage and monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery, conformity, and completeness while resolving discrepancies in collaboration with relevant internal and external departments.

Responsibilities

Learn about the products we sell and purchase.Become familiar with organizational roles and responsibilities.Place orders based on ERP system requirements as requested by supervision.Assist in identifying potential sources for products.Manage and monitor purchase orders for on-time delivery, conformity, and completeness.Collaborate with internal and external departments to resolve any discrepancies.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in procurement and purchasing processes.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Experience in project management and handling multiple projects or deadlines.Familiarity with ERP systems such as IQMS and Job Boss.Buying experience and vendor management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in aerospace.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Personable and easy to get along with.Ability to physically move parts and set up for vendors.

Work Environment

The work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The position is computer-intensive, with most of the day spent at a desk, interspersed with inventory checks in the warehouse. This is a Contract position based out of Tacoma, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00/hr.
