What you'll be doing:
As a Buyer, you’ll manage purchase orders from start to finish, working with suppliers, internal teams, and systems to ensure materials arrive on time and accurately.
Your day-to-day will include:
Creating and issuing purchase orders after verifying specs, pricing, and delivery needsRequesting vendor quotes and obtaining approvals before releasing ordersCommunicating regularly with suppliers via phone and email to track orders and resolve issuesExpediting orders when needed to meet production or customer deadlinesTracking orders from placement through delivery and keeping stakeholders informedVerifying incoming materials against purchase orders and resolving discrepanciesCoordinating receiving documentation and supporting accurate supplier paymentEntering and maintaining purchasing data in the MRP system (Epicor experience is a plus)Comparing vendor pricing to support cost-effective purchasing decisionsPurchasing raw materials, machined parts, sheet metal components, electronic parts, assemblies, and vendor kitsReviewing basic drawings or schematics and working with engineering for clarificationSupporting receiving and accounts payable with issue resolutionCommunicating proactively, asking questions, and escalating concerns appropriatelyWhat we are looking for:

Required:
1–3 years of experience in a buying or purchasing roleExperience working in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with machined parts, sheet metal, castings, hardware, or electronic componentsComfort using ERP/MRP systems (Epicor strongly preferred)Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong organizational and communication skillsNice to Have:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
