Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Buyer Planner to support procurement and supply chain planning activities for a dynamic organization in Madison, WI. This is an indefinite contract position offering hybrid work flexibility, requiring a mix of on-site and remote work. The Buyer Planner will play a critical role in ensuring material availability, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization to support operational and business goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, purchase, and manage materials, components, or finished goods to meet production and business demandAnalyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times to create purchase plansExecute purchase orders and ensure timely delivery from suppliersMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to pricing, quality, or deliveryCollaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance teamsMaintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems, including pricing, lead times, and inventory parametersIdentify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost savings, and process improvementsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain planningPrepare reports and communicate status on inventory, shortages, and supply risksRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in buying, planning, procurement, or supply chain rolesStrong understanding of inventory management and planning principlesExperience working with ERP/MRP systemsProficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysisStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and collaboration skillsJob Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
