How You’ll Make an Impact

Create purchase orders according to purchasing procedures and company policies. Subject matter expert in PO management (creation, approval, change, receipt, invoicing and PO closure)Independently identify and resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with the supplier and business for reconciliation, ensuring vendor invoices are paid within vendor termsVerify and validate that the requested purchase is in alignment with standard purchasing practices or escalate as required to the appropriate team member. Ensure information on purchase orders is correct, complete, and accurately reflects the specific requirements. Track PO's for on time deliveryCommunicate and adjust orders as needed to achieve on time deliveryCommunicate, coordinate, and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand purchase requirements for products or servicesDevelop and evolve productive relationships in the supplier community to enhance Spectrum’s reputation in the communities servedParticipate in project teams or special project assignments. Train and provide support to less experienced and/or new team membersAssist the business partners with AP related activity including vendor setup requests, vendor changes, payment statusReview and analyze reporting to identify cost savings opportunities, process improvements and standardizations. Contribute to cost control initiatives by actively participating in vendor reduction, product standardization and excess material liquidation, item master cleanup, and maintenance activitiesRun purchase order, delivery, invoice, except management reporting to assist with meeting the department Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Work beyond the department Service Level Agreement (SLA) to achieve improvement and operational advances. Assist and audit vendor´s performance on invoice and shipment discrepancies, and communicate results with internal departments on issue resolutionSupport Sourcing with RFQ/RFP´s between suppliers and internal departments to include analyzing items, cost and usage

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

3+ years of experience in purchasing life cycle methodology1+ years of experience in negotiation, and project management

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishKnowledge of physical database structures, disaster recovery and best practicesProven problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to independently assess situations and respond accordinglyAbility to deal with complexity and manage ambiguityAbility to build trust and relationships with Procurement, IT and end users/Business Units Motivated, self-directed work ethic, willing to pursue individual and team goalsDemonstrated detail orientation with emphasis on accuracy and analysis of various data structuresDemonstrated written and oral communication skillsAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environmentAbility to analyze and interpret data

The base pay for this position generally is between $90,900.00 and $97,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
