Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Buyer to support a high-volume manufacturing environment where analytical thinking and supplier management are critical. This role goes beyond placing orders. The Buyer will actively manage inventory, support sourcing strategies, and partner with internal teams to ensure materials are available, cost-effective, and aligned with business priorities. Key Responsibilities: - Execute purchase orders, blanket orders, and scheduling agreements to support production demand - Analyze MRP data to ensure appropriate inventory levels and minimize supply risk - Manage supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness - Support sourcing initiatives by identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve material constraints and supply issues - Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems - Assist with RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract execution as needed We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field - 4+ years of experience as a Buyer within a manufacturing or industrial environment - Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP strongly preferred) - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs (on-time delivery, lead time, order accuracy) - Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas; comfortable working with large datasets) - Experience managing inventory levels and purchase orders end-to-end - Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders - Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or hydromechanical categories - Experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives (not just transactional buying) - Exposure to Power BI or dashboarding tools - Experience collaborating closely with Engineering, Project Management, or Operations - Familiarity with supplier KPI reporting and continuous improvement efforts
