**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Implement system messages for order release and ensure that suppliers receive them. + Develop and implement tactical contingency plans with suppliers. + Maintain and/or improve the level of RDSL and PDSL deliveries (deliveries to required dates and to promise). + Ensure that the conditions agreed in purchase orders are met. + Identify and activate alternate sources of supply in the supply base. + Conduct on-site visits to suppliers to analyze and evaluate capacity constraints and non-compliance in deliveries + Supervise inventory, safety stock and short inventory levels of assigned materials. + Supervise timely purchasing of materials in Kanban, VMI and Min-Max. + Review material shortages report and coordinate with Vendor Delivery Planner on priorities. + Supervise and complete Rsch-Out, Cancellations messages to avoid overruns and material shortages. + Coordinates with the Delivery Planner the Rsch In to be performed. + Monitor that system parameters are met and updated in a timely manner. + Ensure that their ABC product classifications are correct and coordinate their update. + Solve invoice and receipt discrepancy and avoid stopping shipment of materials to the plant. + Maintain current purchase orders in the system and ensure that suppliers receive the forecast. + Train suppliers on the correct reading of the forecast and purchase orders to achieve on-time deliveries. + Participate in business reviews with suppliers. + Support in the control of purchase price variations. + Execute and support the introduction of new part numbers and material at outbound stage + Control the purchase of low usage material. **Who You Are** You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You reflect on activities and the impact it has on others. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. + Bilingual 90% + 2 years of related experience (direct material purchasing) with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. + Experience in inventory management, handling ABC classification. + Previous experience in Kanban, re-order point, MRP systems. + Experience managing domestic and foreign suppliers (Asia, Europe, EU). **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** Knowledge of forecasting and logistics techniques. + Knowledge in negotiation techniques. + Decision-making and analytical skills based on data and root causes. + Leadership, communication, collaboration and sense of urgency skills. + Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge in BOM, planning, forecasting , MRP and Kanban. + Knowledge in production systems. + ERP systems management: AS400, BPCS, Kronos, MRP, Oracle, JD Edwards. + Inventory management. + Knowledge in quality standards: ISO, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans. + Analytical, mathematical, communication, problem solving and collaboration skills. + Interpretation of drawings and understanding of tolerances and geometric dimensions. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent command of Excel. + Availability and documentation to travel. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
