Procurement & Production Planning Specialist — drives sourcing, contracting, SAP-based purchasing, and material availability in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

3+ years of purchasing and production planning experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

Proficiency with SAP for Purchasing and Planning (MM/PP)

APICS CPIM certification

Lean/continuous improvement experience; Green Belt a plus

Proven negotiation experience

Experience with quality assurance and accurate operational reporting

Process improvement knowledge and application

Experience coordinating planning activities with Engineering and Operations

Understanding of key MRP health metrics

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement: sourcing, RFQs, vendor selection, contract terms, PO issuance

Ensure timely delivery of goods and services; track open orders, expedite, and reschedule as needed

Execute and reconcile SAP transactions for purchasing, invoicing, inventory movements, and issue resolution

Resolve procurement, quality, invoice, and inventory issues with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Analyze part consumption behavior and part characteristics to optimize planning parameters and inventory levels

Monitor and improve MRP health metrics (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, data integrity)

Interface with Customer Service, suppliers, Product Engineering, and Production to meet demand and engineering changes

Maintain accurate procurement and planning data and generate operational reports/KPIs

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and production planning processes



Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
