Job Title: Buyer Sourcing Specialist
Job Description
The Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in the operations department by ensuring the best possible selection of vendors for Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) items.
Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and establish relationships with suppliers to secure the timely delivery of high-quality materials.Improve the vendor selection process.Identify areas to increase purchasing power.Support other departments by completing accurate and timely requests for quotes.Analyze and communicate applicable market trends to management and other stakeholders.Assist with issuing purchase orders and agreements that reflect negotiated terms with suppliers.Monitor supplier performance, quality, and pricing, and resolve any issues.Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, supplier selection, and process improvements.Coordinate with upstream and downstream departments, specifically Business Development and Engineering.Document and communicate product and process change requests.Assist department managers in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Perform other administrative and purchasing duties for the supply chain department as needed.Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Essential Skills

The work environment is a product development, engineering, and manufacturing firm based in the Pacific Northwest, offering innovative concept through production services to diverse clients globally. The role requires working in-office from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility on start and end times, supporting a team of 3 Buyers and a Purchasing Manager. The position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with benefits including a 401(k) with up to 4% company match, accrued PTO, and 9 company-paid holidays for those working over 20 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
