Job Title: BuyerPosition Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team on a 5+ month contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) purchasing, strong ERP system experience, and a solid understanding of raw materials procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Execute purchasing activities for ETO projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
+ Collaborate with engineering, planning, and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
+ Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
+ Maintain accurate purchase order data and supplier records within the ERP system.
+ Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
+ Support inventory management and ensure alignment with project schedules.
+ Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes and supplier management.
Required Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or ETO environment.
+ Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.).
+ Experience with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) purchasing processes.
+ Familiarity with raw materials procurement (e.g., metals, plastics, electronics) is a plus.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
+ Experience working in a contract or project-based manufacturing environment.
+ Knowledge of supply chain best practices and procurement compliance standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
