What You’ll Do

As the Purchasing Specialist, you’ll lead procurement efforts for raw materials (primarily metals) and indirect supplies. You’ll also play a key role in transitioning the ERP system from Cyteline (2003) to a modern platform by November.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage direct purchasing (85%) of raw materials and indirect purchasing (15%) of office supplies.Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.Review bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement within budget.Stay informed on market trends and new materials.Process purchase requisitions, approve supplier invoices, and expedite orders.Support ERP system transition and data migration.QualificationsProven experience in purchasing and procurement within a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).Understanding of MRP and material resource planning.Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred:

Experience purchasing raw materials, especially metals.Exposure to ASME codes.Prior involvement in ERP system transitions.Background in supply chain or buyer-level purchasing roles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
