Qualifications:
+ 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying.
+ Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
+ Ability to manage inventory and improvement initiatives.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexible hours up to 60 minutes if needed. You will work in a modern and professional office environment with a large staff and many departments.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Buyer with direct supply management experience and expertise in supply chain freight forwarders/customs compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability in inventory management, including managing improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for negotiating costs and shipping rates, reducing lead times, and developing freight consolidation schedules. A solid understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture of goods and services is essential. You must possess excellent internal and external relationship/communication skills and be proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The ability to present information effectively in both written and oral form using various methods is crucial.
Responsibilities
+ Manage supply chain and direct supply processes.
+ Negotiate costs and shipping rates to reduce lead times.
+ Develop and manage freight consolidation schedules.
+ Utilize logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions.
+ Maximize effective manufacture of goods and services.
+ Maintain excellent relationship and communication skills.
+ Write and present reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
