The Value Stream Buyer is responsible for the execution of general procurement functions, analyzing and auditing the Dynamic Kanban system, and managing purchase orders for manufacturing demands to prevent shortages and maintain inventory levels. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability of production parts while minimizing inventory carrying costs and exposure and supports the procurement team’s financial objectives (PPV, DPO, OTD, Inventory Turns, etc.)

This position reports to the Value Stream Manager, is part of the Operations team located in New Brighton, MN, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Ensure the availability of production parts while minimizing inventory carrying costs and exposure.Interact with colleagues in production to proactively solve stock issues and improve processes.Support on-time delivery and inventory reduction through the implementation of Supplier Quality Management and Dynamic Kanban systems, supporting negotiations for supplier Kanban implementation.Proactively provide supply status, resolve availability issues, and provide tracking information to internal customers.Recommend and implement Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to drive continuous process improvements in on-time delivery, cost savings, and inventory reduction.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experienceExperience working with Excel, ERP/MRP, SAP.Ability to effectively interface with all levels and departments of the organization.Strong communication and negotiation skills working with vendors.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience in procurement and/or production planning in a manufacturing environmentExperience working in a manufacturing environment and communicating with production operationsLean, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, and/or DBS tools

The annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
