Description We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our client in the Lebanon, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and services while ensuring the organization secures favorable terms and maintains strong vendor relationships. Your expertise in purchasing processes, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis will help optimize inventory levels and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue purchase orders by verifying specifications, prices, and obtaining necessary approvals. • Monitor and expedite order processing to ensure timely delivery of purchased items. • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with suppliers. • Authorize payments by forwarding appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance. • Maintain organized and accessible records of purchasing documents and vendor information. • Analyze purchasing data and trends to provide insights for planning and cost control. • Conduct cost analyses and establish benchmarks for various spend categories. • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and build long-term relationships. • Coordinate deliveries to ensure inventory levels are optimized and storage conditions are maintained. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings across supply categories. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and purchasing experience. CPP certification a plus • Strong skills in vendor management, negotiation, and networking. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
