A reputable aerospace company located in Redmond, WA is currently hiring for a Purchasing Assistant. Current or recent Purchasing Coordination / Procurement Coordination / Supply Chain Coordination experience is a must, along with Excel (VLOOKUP) proficiency. This opportunity will be a 6-month contract to support an existing project, but the duration could potentially extend or transition into a different department upon successful performance. This role will be a 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST Monday-Friday 100% onsite in Redmond, WA.

Pay - $25/hr. - $27/hr. (Depending on relevant qualifications, tenure, industry, etc.)
Location - Redmond, WA (100% Onsite)
Schedule – 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST; Standard Monday - Friday Morning Shift (40 Hours a Week)
Contract Duration – 6 Months

[Summary of Key Responsibilities]
Balance the inbound flow of materials that support the manufacturing lines while also ensuring we are meeting our inventory KPI’sManage POs in accordance with defined inventory targets (ABC order policies & MOQ)Ensure PO unit pricing does not exceed Std. Material costs and push-back on supplier price increasesBe proactive and take immediate action to address and resolve issues to minimize delays in productionNegotiates volume price breaks with suppliersIdentifies potential supplier shortages/capacity issues and collaborates with internal team members to help drive work prioritizationEnsure the technical issues are escalated and mitigated with stakeholder supportWork with suppliers to resolve issues impacting, but not limited to, performance, quality, lead-time, delivery, invoice discrepancies, and drive appropriate actions when neededEnsure MRP is updated with the correct purchased part parametersResponsible for satisfying the needs of internal and external customers by responding to requests, understanding requirement,s while building successful & productive customer relationshipsContinuously seeks ways to improve processes and participates in quality improvement teams when appropriateEnsure the Production Planning team has been informed of potential supplier shipment delaysEscalates supply-related issues to leadership in a timely manner.Manage RTVs with vendors as needed
[Qualification Requirements]
1-2 years of experience within purchasing or a related supply chain role.Must be comfortable with Excel (VLOOKUPS) - non-negotiable (please highlight on resume).Experience with ERP or MRP system (i.e., SAP, QAD, etc.)Experience handling Purchase Orders.Current or prior aerospace industry experience is a high bonus.Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work with individuals across a broad range of functions and varying levels.Ability to identify problems and take the initiative to resolve problems.High motivation to learn, develop, and perform in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to meet export control compliance requirements (ITAR).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
