This Position reports to:

SCM Service Delivery Manager

 

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Procurement team in EUOPC (European Operation Center) . Main stakeholders are part of Measurement and Analytics in Germany within ABB's Process Automation business area. 

You will be mainly accountable for:Identify and qualify new suppliers Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase OrdersNegotiate agreements with suppliers, renew price lists and terms and conditionsRFQAnalyze and evaluate bids in order to determine the optimal valueOversee Supplier Performance and resolve performance issuesProactively manage on-time deliveriesConduct all Supply Chain activities in accordance with policies and procedures

Qualifications for the role:Proficient in business English (B2/C1), Italian is a strong asset.At least 2 years of experience in corporate environment, ideally in operational procurement/SCM areaExcellent communication skills and team work spiritCustomer focus with proactive attitudeNegotiation skills will be an assetHands-on experience with SAP would be a plusAdvanced Excel skills would be a plus
