General Summary:

Places, tracks, and manages purchase orders and day-to-day procurement activities to support fulfillment of materials, parts, and other supply needs of internal stakeholders. Manages supplier relationship to send requests, negotiate costs, and ensure promise dates are met. Collaborate with key stakeholders to anticipate internal supply and demand requirements and secure timely delivery of capital assets, components, or services. Works across teams to understand requirements, execute purchase orders, and address issues. 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field

•    4+ years of industry specific buyer or procurement experience.

•    2+ years of managing commodities, supporting manufacturing, or business operations experience.

•    2+ years of experience in high-tech or semiconductor industry.

•    1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Executes placement of purchase orders and uses various tools (e.g., Oracle, custom software) to input data and information into systems.

•    Analyzes material needs and demands into rapid response systems for purchase orders with minimal guidance.

•    Tracks, reviews, and fills small to medium size open purchase orders ensuring that obligations are fulfilled and materials are received on time to support internal needs with supervision.

Places orders via credit card which requires monthly reconciliation of such expenses.

•    Collaborate with key stakeholders to anticipate upcoming supply needs (e.g., parts, components, services) and send requests to suppliers in a timely manner.

•    Manages and follows-up with suppliers to ensure requirements and needs are being addressed in alignment with purchase order specifications and promise dates.

•    Negotiates terms and conditions costs with suppliers, including pricing breaks, with some guidance to achieve cost reductions.

•    Negotiates standard purchasing terms and conditions with Legal guidance.

•    Identifies issues related to purchase orders (e.g., Accounts Payable holds) and works with team members to resolve in a timely manner.

•    Provides occasional support for subcontract requirements and activities.

•    Escalates and works with senior team members to identify alternatives to replace obsolete or high cost parts based on general understanding of products, requirements, and supplier capabilities.

•    Manages individual and project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with some supervision.

•    Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements, execute purchase orders and support team goals.

Manages certain compliance documentation (e.g., Reps & Certs) from suppliers in accordance to internal policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree and 2+ years of buyer, procurement, supply chain, or related experience.
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years of buyer, procurement, supply chain, or related experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$65,000.00 - $97,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
