We are seeking a Business Unit Manager – Specialty Chemicals for Textiles for an international company specializing in advanced textile chemical technologies. This human-scale SME, part of a global industrial group, is renowned for its innovation culture, reliable responsiveness, and agile decision-making. Its solutions serve apparel, sportswear, home textiles, and technical textiles worldwide.

The Role

As Business Unit Manager, you will:
• Lead a strategic BU focused on textile performance technologies
• Report directly to the CEO and contribute to strategic decisions
• Define commercial strategy & drive market development
• Collaborate closely with R&D to shape an innovative product portfolio
• Manage full P&L: revenues, margins, budgets, forecasts
• Support and coordinate international sales teams
• Build strong partnerships with brands, manufacturers & distributors
• Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events

Ideal Profile

• Scientific background: chemistry, materials, textiles
• 10+ years in specialty textile chemicals or high-performance textile technologies
• Strong business acumen & confirmed P&L experience
• Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, marketing, sales
• Multitask mindset, adaptable to an agile SME environment
• Natural leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, results-driven
• Fluent in English; additional languages welcome
• Willing to travel 20–30%
