You will lead the production operations in the Plant and delivering key performance targets (SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, organizational morale.  You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented and is fully effective and you will strive to build a high performing organization.

How you will contribute

You will:

Manages change/ transformation change/ transformation amongst the Operating teams in the implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma phase journey, FoF-Factory of Future Line centric organization & roles (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance and an integrated 6 star model within operating Line teams) to progress into Self sufficient teams. Role models Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and development of the team.Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals in line with the site Compelling business need.  coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate the plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus and KPI’s.Lead and be Accountable to establish a strong Governance to Review, Control Operational performance and Continuous Improvement plan and embed a zero loss mindset  to constantly improve and deliver against best in class both internally and externally. Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability and operating systems to deliver a best practice and reliable operation.Support all Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements (e.g. Corporate Quality, Food safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of conduct, Policies & principles, Operational standards, Local legal requirements, Internal Audit norms, & other procedures updated from time to time) are in place, understood by all, and is regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.Lead and be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team - identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and builds capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally & externally (outside the plant) to achieve objectives, goals and KPI’s.

Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and conceptsExcellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team buildingAn Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

What you need to know about this position:

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related disciplines) from a reputed institution.

Advanced certifications or coursework in operations management, supply chain management, or project management can be advantageous.

Certifications (Preferred)

Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt): For process improvement and efficiency.

High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS): Knowledge or certification in HPWS implementation and methodologies.

IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) or World Class Manufacturing: Experience or training in Mondelez-specific operational excellence systems.

HSE/ISO Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 for quality, environmental, and safety management systems.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Certification in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) or similar production systems.

Leadership Development Programs: Formal training or certifications that demonstrate leadership and people management capabilities.

Job specific requirements:

Technical and Operational Expertise

Proven experience in managing production operations in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG or chocolate/confectionery industries.

Strong knowledge of production KPIs such as GE, OEE, MTBF, MCC, and MUV, with the ability to analyze and improve these metrics.

Experience in implementing and managing High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and IL6S pillars like Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement.

Skill-Based Progression Systems (SBPS)

Experience in developing and implementing skill-based frameworks, skill matrices, and rotation policies for multi-skilled teams.

Ability to map and execute career progression pathways for team members within a high-performance work system.

Leadership and People Management

Strong capability to lead and coach self-managed teams while driving engagement, diversity, and capability-building initiatives.

Experience in conducting DMS (Daily Management Systems) reviews and driving team accountability.

Project Management and Continuous Improvement

Experience in Value Stream Mapping, Black Belt projects, and implementing cost-saving initiatives in production environments.

Ability to lead CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification) activities and vertical ramp-up for new initiatives or projects.

Safety and Quality Compliance

Deep understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other safety and quality standards, ensuring adherence during daily operations.

Proven ability to foster a zero-incident safety culture and optimize environmental impacts like energy and water usage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Ability to work effectively with various functional leads such as Quality, HSE, HR, and Engineering, as well as external stakeholders like OEMs.

Travel requirements:

Site Visits

Occasional travel to other Mondelez manufacturing facilities or benchmarking sites to assess best practices and align with HPWS and IL6S implementation.

Collaboration with External Stakeholders

Travel to meet with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers for equipment reviews, technical discussions, or training sessions.

Training and Development

Participation in training programs, workshops, or conferences at regional or global locations to enhance skillsets or implement company-wide initiatives.

Project Execution

Travel may be required to support CQV activities, vertical ramp-up, or project rollouts at other sites.

Flexibility

Must be open to both domestic and occasional international travel based on operational and project needs.

Work schedule:

Standard Work Hours

Typically follows standard business hours (e.g., 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM). However, flexibility is essential to align with production schedules and project timelines.

Shift Coverage

May require availability outside regular hours to support shifts, address critical operational issues,  or lead activities such as CQV and vertical ramp-ups.

Weekend/On-Call Support

Occasional weekend or on-call support may be needed during high-demand periods, project milestones, or unforeseen operational challenges.

Flexibility

Must adapt to dynamic production and business needs to ensure adherence to KPIs and plant objectives.
