The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for the solicitation of past and new business to ensure all Transient (Corporate & Consortia) revenue, room night and average daily rate goals are achieved or exceeded.

Manage accounts from all Corporate & Consortia feeder markets in Los Angeles & appropriate systemsIdentify, qualify, solicit, negotiate and contract local and national accounts Submit qualifiers and complete bid process during RFP season Work closely and strategize with Global Sales Team to guarantee participation in the correct preferred hotel programsComplete detailed rate loading sheets and test rates in system to ensure audits are passed and rates are loaded correctly in the systemPlan site inspections, client entertaining and sales trips as required.Create and implement quarterly sales action plan.Meet and exceed quarterly individual sales goals and annual hotel goals.Solicit potential clients for future business on an on-going basis using Agency360.Attend hotel and industry related events/functions, road shows and tradeshows.Entertain potential and existing clientele daily, weekly, monthly to develop and maintain relationships.Participation in annual marketing plan process.Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

At least 4 years of progressive Business or Leisure Travel hotel sales experience; or a 4 year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2 year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience.Experience in luxury hotel direct sales requiredOpera property management systems experience preferred.
