Job Description

Job Characteristics: This is an intermediate level position. The primary focus of this role is supporting Logistics which may include one or more of the following; facilitates product shipping, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, and/or customer service. Operating forklifts, High Reach or scissor lifts. Updates and maintains inventory control databases. Ensures the freight sorting area is organized and follows the established sorting and stocking guidelines.

Education/Work Experience: High School Diploma. Typically requires a secondary diploma, or GED, plus two years of experience. Some College preferred. 1 year of forklift driving experience or licensure.

Independence Level/Reports to: Works well with others but can also work Autonomously. Works with Inventory Supervisor, variety of work varies, work can be complex, and follows standard procedures, typically reports to Warehouse & Logistics Manager.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for organizing the daily workloadUtilizes appropriate technology and tools to facilitate inventory control activities, cycle counts, warehouse activity monitor, SAP reports, RF scanner, and bar codingCompletes daily cycle counts by performing initial & secondary counts, researching and validating all inventory variances, causes for follow-up actions, and reviewing the weekly inventory adjustments reports with the managerResearch all potential dock cuts for validity, approval, and corrective actionHandles all scrap and obsolete inventory disposal by verifying, picking, and disposing of damaged, obsolete, SAN, and warranty materialHandles all return to vendor shipments by picking, packing, and verifying the shipmentManages the PO discrepancy process by reviewing all reported shortages, overages, and damages. Works with purchasing for resolutionManage daily stock compare report for 3pl locations Provide routine recaps to leaders on inventory defects and action plansWill backfill for the receiver when neededOther duties as assigned

Position Details: 

Plant location: Philadelphia, PA  Work week and shift: Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm with some OTWith light travel to the 3rd party warehouse when neededCompensation package offered: $28.00 ph

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED2 years of previous experience in a shipping and receiving department1 year of prior experience working in a warehouse or Plant environment2 years of experience working with MS Office suite, SAP including data entry and keyboarding skills1 year of forklift operating experienceNo Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry 50lbsMust be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or experiencePrevious inventory control experienceProficiency with inventory applications, RF handheld computers, and Bar codingPrevious SAP experience and/or additional Warehouse Management System experiencePrior lead or supervisory experienceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision 

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$28.00 ph Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
