Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. 

 

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence.  Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

 

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Systems Improvement Manager in ACT or NSW. 

 

What You’ll Do
 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

 

Lead the strategic management and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related business systems to support operational goals.Act as the product owner for enterprise platforms, overseeing lifecycle activities from design through deployment and adoption.Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, validate designs, and ensure system enhancements align with business priorities.Manage monthly release cycles, including testing, defect triage, and production readiness.Deliver tailored training and user support to drive system adoption and confidence across diverse user groups.

What You’ll Bring

 

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (business, systems) or a comparable level of experience.Proven experience leading end-to-end system improvement initiatives, including planning, testing, and deployment.Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams, with a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, user experience, and delivering measurable business value..Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and familiarity with enterprise system integration.Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
