As a Business Systems Analyst Lead in Global Food Safety & Quality – Systems & Governance, you will lead initiatives that improve how food safety and quality risks are managed across the organization. You’ll play a key role in translating strategy into action by enhancing business systems, streamlining processes, and delivering scalable, data-informed solutions. This role combines business analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure systems are effective, user-friendly, and aligned with enterprise goals. 

 

You will partner with teams across the business to gather requirements, design system enhancements, and support implementation through testing, training, and documentation. You’ll also manage projects that involve system changes or process improvements, using established tools and techniques to ensure clear scope, timelines, and outcomes. By fostering strong stakeholder relationships and supporting continuous improvement, you’ll help drive operational excellence and enable teams to make informed decisions that protect and elevate the customer experience. 

 

As a Business Systems Analyst Lead in Global Food Safety & Quality – Systems & Governance, you will… 

 

Lead Business Systems and Process Improvements. Drive enhancements to business systems and processes that support food safety and quality risk management. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, design improvements, and manage testing to ensure solutions meet business needs. Research best practices and recommend updates that improve efficiency and usability. 

Enable Scalable, Data-Informed Solutions. Work closely with analytics, IT, and technology teams to deliver solutions that support food safety and quality metrics and enable better decision-making. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise strategies and functional goals. 

Support System Adoption and Operational Excellence. Develop training materials and lead end-user training to support system rollouts and ongoing usage. Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution with IT and vendors. Maintain documentation and ensure systems are reliable and easy to use across teams. 

Drive Strategic Alignment and Stakeholder Engagement. Participate in strategic planning workshops to align system capabilities with business priorities. Quantify the impact of system changes and support business case development. Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure transparency, collaboration, and shared ownership throughout the system lifecycle. 

Apply Project Management Expertise. Lead and manage initiatives that involve system changes or process improvements, using project management tools and techniques to ensure clear scope, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Ensure projects are aligned with business goals and delivered efficiently. 

We’d love to hear from people with: 

 

6+ years in business systems analysis, process improvement or related roles 

6+ years end-user support and training. 

6+ years of systems design, testing and implementation. 

3+ years managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects or programs  

3+ years data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

Experience working in regulated industries such as food safety, quality assurance or manufacturing 

4 Year Degree

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
