The team is primarily responsible for building data products and developing robust and scalable data layer solutions for both internal and external enterprise needs. **The Role** ADSI team is looking for a Business Systmes Analyst Intern to join the team. In this role, you would be joining the Healthcare Data Intelligence (HDI) team, participating in various initiatives and research that are foundational to our team’s charter. Internship will explore data products and understand how healthcare data is used to iterate radical new solutions for highly complex business problems, and make innovative insights and solutions for transformative builds. Your primary focus will be in research and understanding products (Google cloud platform) and review and document existing data production pipelines and workflows. You’ll get valuable experience in healthcare data, our industry-leading data products like google cloud and challenges in building the data layer for healthcare analytics. **Responsibilities and Duties** + Provide hands-on contribution in developing and delivering solutions using Google cloud platform products + Research on Google cloud products and suggest best possible solutions for team development tasks. + Work with developers and document and design analytical pipelines and identify redundancies and suggest process improvements. + Work closely with business partners, product management, engineering and design in defining and executing on customer needs and data analytics roadmap **Qualifications and Skills** + Bachelors, Masters degree or Phd in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or another quantitative field + Programming skills in Python, R, Scala, or Java, and knowledge of common data science toolkits desired + Some experience with data quality, data cleansing + Familiarity with using Google cloud framework for massive datasets, proficiency in using query languages such as SQL + Strong data visualization skills to make data-driven insights easy to understand for various stakeholders + Excellent quantitative, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-experts, adept at working with cross functional teams **Requirements** Education: + High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required. **Additional Preferences** + Python knowledge + SQL experience + Programming coursework or professional experience related to database management systems \#LI-Remote **Why Join Our Team** Ascension associates are key to our commitment of transforming healthcare and providing care to all, especially those most in need.
