Business Systems Analyst
Job Title: Business Systems Analyst IIIJob Description The Business Systems Analyst III plays a pivotal role in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and technical needs for Data Integration projects. The role involves supporting small-sized projects, enhancing business acumen, and establishing productive relationships within project teams. Responsibilities + Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical needs on Data Integration projects. + Assist in interviewing and facilitating skills to interface with business and technology stakeholders. + Build relationships within assigned project teams. + Demonstrate a basic understanding of annuity concepts. + Develop the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. + Embrace change and assist others in recognizing the need for change. + Learn techniques to create business and functional requirements (artifacts). + Facilitate and lead interviews with business and technology stakeholders to understand business and system needs. + Translate needs into effective business and functional requirements documents, designing systems to transform or change business practices and workflows. + Employ various business analysis techniques to create business and functional requirements, such as current and future state process models, context diagrams, business rules, use cases, entity relationship diagrams, and user stories. + Analyze business problems and influence recommendations for creative solutions. + Support data gathering for business case and cost-benefit analysis documents. + Facilitate, prioritize, propose, and document business process re-design, eliminating manual business processes where possible. + Partner with Quality Assurance to identify and document testing considerations, develop traceability matrices, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business areas. + Prepare and present clear, concise, and timely communication, adapting messages to suit the audience. + Increase business acumen and awareness of best practices to continuously improve business analysis capabilities. Essential Skills + Proficiency in data integration, workflow management, and systems analysis. + Experience with quality processes and project management. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint. + 4+ years of business analysis experience. + Understanding and employing business analysis concepts such as business process modeling, context diagrams, use cases, and user stories. + Familiarity with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. + Awareness of agile methodologies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and applicable work experience required. Work Environment The role involves working in a collaborative environment with project teams, utilizing various technologies and methodologies to enhance business operations. The position requires adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $51.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
