Kemper is adding to the team and seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support the Kemper Auto Run/Grow portfolio.
Responsibilities
Perform systems analysis and development of business requirements for problems, projects and enhancementsResearch and develop functional design documentsResponsible for requirements management with Kemper’s AMS partnersLiaison with business for IT Run/Grow portfolio coordinationProvide inputs for both application testing and user acceptance testingProvide analysis for production recovery effortsConduct release management activities for Kemper Auto portfolioAchieve and maintain subject matter expertise across Kemper Auto’s strategic applications and servicesLead complex change management activities, including:Training (e.g., training plans and materials, training sessions)Process improvements and efficienciesDocumentation support (e.g., operational procedures, troubleshooting guides)Production readiness activities (e.g., war room, deployment support and checkout, user support)Maintain knowledge of business functionality and technical platforms as business climate and technology platforms evolveComply with and support all corporate, department and security policies and proceduresSupport high level estimation and design during IdeationCoordinate production activities such as:Triage, troubleshootingData analysisProduct and compliance requestsQualifications
5-7 years of business systems analyst experience requiredExpert knowledge of Property & Casualty InsuranceNon-standard Auto Insurance experience preferredMust be well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and reliableProficient with business analysis tasks including documentation of workflows, use cases, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria and associated data analysisStrong testing and production support background is neededAdvanced knowledge of system development lifecycle activitiesRelease and change management experienceExpertise in post-production monitoring and support (troubleshooting, data analysis, defect triage)Education equivalent to a college degree in an information technology related or business administration related discipline, supplemented by insurance or computer-related courses/knowledge, or the equivalent in related work experienceCurrent expertise using JIRA/ConfluenceServiceNow and AWS knowledge is a plus.Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
