Duties Description Assigned to the Systems Support Group within the Bureau of State Payroll Services. Combine New York State payroll knowledge with business systems technical knowledge and expertise of the New York State Payroll System. Positions analyze the business needs of payroll operation areas to ensure compliance, diagnose problems, and propose solutions; test corrections that have been made to files, programs, and processes; schedule the implementation of new and modified jobs into the batch schedule; and verify that changes made to the system meet deadlines and are working correctly.

Salary is nonnegotiable. Candidates hired at the trainee level will be advanced to the full performance Business Systems Analyst 1 (Payroll Systems) SG-18 following successful completion of the traineeship.
