**Your Role**
The Business Systems Analyst – Finance Technology supports and enhances finance business processes by owning, supporting, and continuously improving Alteryx workflows and related financial systems. The role sits within Finance Technology and works closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure stable, efficient, and well‑governed analytics and automation solutions. This position plays a key role in operational support, workflow development, governance, and process optimization, ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and long‑term system maintainability across Finance Technology platforms.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ System & Operational Support
+ Own and continuously improve support processes for Alteryx and interconnected finance and IT systems.
+ Provide daily operational support for Alteryx workflows running on the server, including monitoring execution, performance, inputs, and outputs to ensure business process continuity.
+ Ensure all published workflows are supportable, well documented, and compliant with adopted standards.
+ Provide ongoing support and guidance to internal Alteryx business users and community members.
+ Workflow Development & Enhancement
+ Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of new Alteryx workflows.
+ Deliver minor enhancements and optimizations to existing workflows based on business feedback and support findings.
+ Conduct performance analysis of individual workflows to improve stability, efficiency, and scalability.
+ Governance & Best Practices
+ Establish, maintain, and promote Alteryx best practices to support long‑term sustainability and supportability.
+ Participate in workflow review governance to ensure compliance with development standards before production deployment.
+ Actively promote governance principles and development standards across the internal Alteryx community to drive adoption and consistency.
+ Process Optimization & Automation
+ Identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive activities through automation and the use of efficiency tools and platforms such as ServiceNow, DataDog, and Rundeck.
+ Simplify processes and support activities where full automation is not yet achievable, minimizing manual effort.
+ Proactively identify potential process risks or failures and recommend preventive solutions.
+ Documentation & Knowledge Management
+ Maintain high‑quality documentation for workflows, processes, and support activities.
+ Ensure documentation supports effective teamwork, knowledge transfer, task delegation, and user guidance.
+ Collaboration & Values
+ Partner closely with finance business teams and IT stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
+ Demonstrate a strong commitment to Hyatt’s core values in all interactions and deliverables.
+ Perform additional related duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
**Your Qualifications & Experience**
+ Experience
+ Experience partnering closely with business teams to support and improve finance processes.
+ Hands‑on experience supporting IT systems and improving finance business processes.
+ Familiarity with financial systems and related business concepts.
+ Experience working with analytics, automation, or workflow‑based tools in a support or development capacity.
+ Education
+ Bachelor’s degree or college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
+ Technical & Professional Skills
+ Experience using Alteryx; Alteryx certification is a plus.
+ Familiarity with common IT system support frameworks such as ITIL is an advantage.
+ Understanding of finance systems and their integration with analytics and automation tools.
+ Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Personal Competencies
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, complex corporate environment.
+ Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and functions.
+ Willingness to travel occasionally as required (approximately 5–10%).
