Job Purpose

The Business Support Leader will serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to the Business Unit Leader and the Team, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and execution of projects and organizational initiatives.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.

The individual will support the Head of EM&S Specialty Care to effectively plan and manage business priorities, define the communication plan for the business unit, and chair the business unit governances

The role includes components of strategy (understanding and translation of the vision and priorities), facilitation (enabling leadership team to work together and getting to decision faster), project management (leading highly important projects in white spaces), and bridge building (connecting the dots within the leadership team and with the rest of the organization).

The individual partners closely with both the Head of EM&S SpecCare and the leadership team (LT) on a daily basis to run and monitor transversal priorities and deliver high impact projects. Extensive collaboration is required with many stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

Assist the Business Unit Leader and the leadership team in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and operational plans.

Monitor progress on key projects and objectives, providing updates and recommendations to leadership through the execution of the EM&S SpecCare Compelling Business Needs and priorities and monitoring of related KPIs.

Communication and Coordination, Stakeholder Engagement

Coordinate Global EM&S Business Support Leader & Governance to support decision making and information sharing within the organization.

Facilitate communication between the leadership team and other departments to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives.

Prepare and manage internal and external communications on behalf of the GBU leader.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and support for organizational initiatives.

Represent the GBU Leader in meetings and discussions as needed.

Project Management

Lead projects as required to support the execution of the EM&S SpecCare Compelling Business Needs (CBN).

Leverage and engage resources across the organization to ensure priorities are delivered on time with effectiveness measurements built in.

Interface with the broader organization on transversal projects that requires EM&S SpecCare inputs.

Meeting and Event Management

Organize and coordinate executive meetings, including agenda setting, materials preparation, and follow-up on action items.

Plan and execute events and initiatives that align with organizational objectives.


 

About you

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA Engineering or Scientific discipline or other degree with relevant pharma experience.

5-8+ years' experience in Pharmaceutical or BioPharma industry.

Hands on experience working at a manufacturing site is a plus.

PMP or Lean Six Sigma training is highly preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is:

$147,000.00 - $212,333.33
