As a Business Support Specialist with Spraying Systems Co.’s Industrial Division, you’ll be a vital part of our team—serving as the primary point of contact for our industrial customers across multiple sectors. We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional with prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical environments who can deliver exceptional service, strengthen relationships, and help drive growth. This role is on-site in our Birmingham AL office. Key Responsibilities Customer Relationship Management · Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial and OEM customers, ensuring loyalty and long-term satisfaction. · Proactively identify opportunities to support customer operations and promote product solutions. · Maintain detailed, accurate customer information and activity records in the CRM system. Customer Interaction & Technical Support · Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels. · Provide accurate quotes, process orders, and answer product or application questions with confidence. · Translate technical needs into effective product recommendations, leveraging your industrial experience. · Monitor and communicate account receivables and payment statuses where applicable. Order Management · Enter and manage orders accurately using WebERP and internal platforms. · Confirm pricing, terms, lead times, and product details to ensure error-free order fulfillment. · Partner with logistics and production teams to ensure timely shipment and delivery. · Identify and suggest process improvements that enhance order flow and customer satisfaction. Cross-Functional Collaboration · Work closely with sales engineers, outside reps, and corporate personnel to deliver seamless service. · Coordinate between departments to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. · Support territory managers and participate in projects that promote customer engagement and retention. Communication & Professionalism · Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach in every customer interaction. · Communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully across teams and time zones. · Represent Spraying Systems Co. as a trusted technical resource and reliable partner. Qualifications Required · 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales/service environment (e.g., process equipment, fluid handling, spray technology, or related fields). · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook). · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently once trained. Preferred · Experience using Microsoft CRM and Power BI for tracking and reporting. · Familiarity with ERP systems (especially WebERP or similar). · Prior experience supporting field sales or industrial customers. · Comfort with collections and A/R follow-up is a plus. Training & Development · On-site training from our Regional Customer Support Leader, along with our experienced Industrial Division team. · Additional training opportunities in our Wheaton, IL headquarters. · Access to Spray University online courses, mentorship, and ongoing professional development. Schedule & Work Environment · Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (CST) · Occasional travel to corporate offices/sales offices required. They need someone who wants to be there long term and will treat this like a career. This role is hard work and can get repetitive, have slow days and really busy days. Mistakes will be made but they need to keep learning. Essentially they will be responsible for the entire life cycle of an order. They will be responsible for entering the order accurately into their system, keeping track of its progress, updating the end customer on its progress, and providing support to the sales team when questions come up. They need to be detail and process oriented, confident talking to customers and internal salesteam, willing to make a mistake and learn from it, organized and responsible.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
