Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role will support strategic objectives of Cloud data consumption enablement and migration from on-premise to Cloud technology. **Accountabilities** • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. • Functions as a member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices, tools usage, common components, and patterns. • Performs hands-on design and development with SQL/CSV and other file formats (Parquet, Avro, etc.) processing, using appropriate data ingestion patterns, data modelling techniques and scheduling / orchestration. • Provides support for PowerBI reports and dashboards across all Caribbean teams/departments. • Supports design, documentation, coding, testing, debugging and troubleshooting technical issues to support EDL ingestions for Caribbean region. • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. **Reporting Relationships** **Primary Manager:** **Direct Reports:** **Shared Reports** NA **Dimensions** NA **Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)** • • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. • Graduate degree in finance, business, risk and/or economics is an asset. • Experience with Financial Payments Ecosystem • Experience working in Agile. • 1+ year of experience in related fields of finance, data, bank treasury, capital markets. • Superior written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to audiences with various backgrounds and seniority. • Hands on Advanced Excel, SQL, automation tools esp. low/no code. • SDLC / Agile methodology experience. • Working knowledge of data warehouse. • Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management. • Enthusiasm and willingness to foster a culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism. **Competencies** **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech is a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.
