Job Description
Pearson TQ are looking for a creative, dedicated individual to join our team who can deliver engaging and inspiring training. The Business Skills Trainer will develop and deliver high quality business skills and leadership training programmes that enhance and develop learners’ knowledge, skills and behaviours. They will teach and deliver courses in both face to face and virtual workshop environments to a high standard and support with content and resource development, as needed. In addition, they will ensure learning programmes are individualised, bespoke and are tailored to suit individual learners needs.
Core tasks and responsibilities
Develop and deliver Business Skills and Leadership training programmes that are high quality, robust and are aligned to organisational standardsDeliver face to face and/or virtual workshop sessions to train and coach learners in business, management and leadership skills and to support and develop their skills, knowledge, and behavioursCreate resources to assist with training programmes and support learning such as PowerPoint presentations, workbooks, webinars and handouts as well as supporting ongoing development and review of current resourcesUtilise all available and appropriate technology in the delivery of learning programmes to support and enhance learner experience.Deliver training sessions that are interactive, inspiring and engaging and support differentiation to meet differing learning needsEvaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and suggest improvements where required Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to learners in relation to their learning journey Carry out coaching calls with learners and complete paperwork and administration within agreed timescalesMaintain online blogs, ensuring learner contribution and regular updatesEnsure that own allocated learners are progressing in line with their target achievement dates and liaise with the Programme Manager/s for the purpose of monitoring the progress of learning.Ensure that learner records are accurately maintained, including records held within MIS systems, e-portfolio and online learning systemsComplete learner visits, either virtual or to customer sites and locations, when required or as directed by managementMaintain positive relationships with learners, business partners and all other stakeholders to ensure Pearson TQ retains and gains businessCoach and mentor learners to develop positive attitudes towards learning and studyingAttend standardisation and team meetings as requiredIdentify, complete, and record appropriate annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities that maintain your ability to support the delivery of programmes.Assist in the support and delivery of other qualifications/programmes when requiredBe flexible over hours of attendance/work, including evenings and weekends where requiredTo undertake any other duties as may be required from time to timeQualifications
Training / Competencies
Hold relevant teaching/training qualificationsHighly motivated, flexible and adaptableExcellent communication and IT skillsProven coaching and mentoring skillsOutstanding interpersonal and presentation skillsAble to work under own supervision and on own initiativeEssential
Qualified trainer/tutor with at least 5 years training and delivery experience within the business skills sectorProven experience of creating and delivering inspirational, informative and engaging training contentIndustry competence and experience in a substantive management role Can demonstrate use of technology to support effective and efficient deliveryDemonstrate through previous OTLA and/or standardisation observations is consistently operating as an outstanding or minimum good trainerCan demonstrate the development of course materials and training resourcesExcellent written skills to enable detailed feedback and target setting of objectivesWilling to travelDesirable
Assessor qualificationExperience in the Healthcare sector, in particular with the NHS, ideally in a continuous improvement capacityDelivery experience of CMI QualificationsExperience of Level 5/7 Leadership & Management deliveryA relevant Management qualification at Level 5 or aboveHands on experience implementing improvements in healthcare, working collaboratively with operational managers and cliniciansThis post is exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and applicants will be expected to undertake an enhanced disclosure through the DBS.
