Business Senior Analyst - Mortgage
The Systems/Business Analyst Senior plays a crucial role in enhancing business efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging their expertise in information technology, business processes, and industry standards. This role involves analyzing business needs, translating them into system requirements, and implementing solutions that align with organizational goals. The Systems/Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders and IT staff to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance and quality deliver of base, code, and configuration changes to the system. This role will need to understand business strategy to drive changes and enhancements for the organization.  They will optimize technology, process, and controls to simplify the mortgage process and create a world class client experience.  They will act as the lead business SME and work stream owner to provide support and guidance for improving and sustaining process, systems, procedures, and controls. Responsibilities: + Enhancing Business Efficiency: Leveragesexpertisein information technology, business processes, and industry standards to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness. Analyzes business needs, translates them into system requirements, and implements solutions aligned with organizational goals. + System Integration and Performance: Collaborates with stakeholders and IT staff to ensure seamless system integration andoptimalsystem performance.Overseesthe quality delivery of base code and configuration changes to the system. + Driving Business Strategy: Understands andutilizesbusinessstrategyto drive changes and enhancements for the organization.Optimizestechnology, processes, and controls to simplify the mortgage process and create a world-class client experience. + Subject Matter Expertise: Acts as the lead business subject matter expert (SME) and work stream owner, providing support and guidance for improving and sustaining processes, systems, procedures, and controls. + Risk Management and Partnership: Partners with Mortgage Originations Leaders (Functional Owners) in developing,maintaining, and reviewing all MCA and CAP related risks. Works closely with MCA/CAP managers to understand gaps, analyze outcomes, implement resolutions, update procedures, and ensure consistent process flow maps and systems for seamless resolution across work-streams. + System Changes and LEAN Methodology: Manages holistic work-stream ownership for all process and system changesrequiredto support the design and functionality of Salesforce,Loan FX, and Empower. Appliesexpertisein system configurations to drive streamlined processes and workflows, reduce risk, andutilizeLEANmethodologyconcepts. Designs andsubmitsrequests, partnering with business lines and vendors to ensure successful implementation. + Support and Analysis: Provides INC triage and vendor support. Conducts problem and solution research, requirement gathering, and CCR feasibility analysis. Defines CCR acceptance criteria and develops CCR functional requirements and BRDs. Conducts business testing of all CCRs. + Testing and Validation: Reviews andapprovesall UAT test results. Writes and prepares production checkout scripts and scenarios. Oversees production checkout andperformsad-hoc testing.Conducts post-release INC fix validations and post-release CCR validations. + Escalation and Project Support: Manages system escalations. Provides project and Issue/CAP support. + Risk Assessment and Compliance: Appropriately assesses risk in business decisions,demonstratingparticular considerationfor the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.Ensurescompliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Applies sound ethical judgmentregardingpersonal behavior, conduct, and business practices. Escalates, manages, andreportscontrol issues with transparency. Qualifications: + 5-8 years relevant experience + Point of Sale Mortgage Origination Experience (POS)experience andexpertise + Required skills include project leadership, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues through concise presentation skills. + Good interpersonal skills to oversee cross disciplinary work streams. + Extensive strategic analysis and leadership experience. + Interest and experience in the financial services industry,in particular inthe areas of mortgage functions and technology.
