Our Opportunity
Thales UK have a great opportunity to join the Finance team as a Business and Project Controller. In this role, you will provide professional financial support to the UK Functional Finance Controllers and UK Pensions Controller. You will provide Overhead control for Functional Costs & support to UK Functional cost controller, this will involve liaising with various stakeholders through the business to understand, challenge and report the overheads and headcount of the business. You will provide full
financial support and governance to a portfolio of centrally managed projects and provide Pensions support for monthly & year end reporting & audit requirements. This will be a pivotal role providing accurate, timely and reliable overhead cost information to senior management.
This role requires SC Clearance in which you will need to satisfy the criteria for application, please refer to the UKSV website for more information.
About you
You will be a qualified accountant with a professional accounting qualification or be part qualified and studying towards related qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA (or equivalent), or have proven relevant experience within a financial environment ideally within Defence. You should have some experience operating as a Business Controller or equivalent, working on complex programmes, products and services. You will be a team player who can interface at all levels within an engineering and technology company.
