The Systems Governance team is part of Global Sales Operations within Global Sales & Marketing and based in Lund, Sweden. The team has an important mission in supporting our Sales & Marketing organization with the systems and tools to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently and to best serve our customers and partners globally. What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded and business-savvy Business Product Owner (BPO) to lead and align our marketing technology initiatives across business and IT. As a BPO for marketing systems you will serve as a liaison between Marketing and IT, ensuring that all marketing technology initiatives are strategically aligned, thought through, well-motivated and carefully prioritized. You will also actively work towards an increasingly connected, scalable, and efficient sales & marketing ecosystem.
In this role you will ensure that we work towards a common and defined long-term direction for marketing technology from a business perspective and that our marketing technology initiatives follow a clear path. To achieve that, tight collaboration with different stakeholders from Information Systems, Sales & Marketing leadership, global & regional functions is key. You will proactively and in close collaboration ensure appropriate long-term and short-term planning and prioritization of business needs and improvement initiatives. Working cross-organizationally and on a global scale is a natural part of the role to ensure relevant and efficient business solutions.

Main focus areas to drive:Tight collaboration with key stakeholders (Information Systems, Sales & Marketing leadership, global and regional functions).Collaboratively facilitate a long-term direction for marketing technology from a business perspective that supports increasingly interconnected Sales & Marketing processes & systems across global teams.Ensure we have clearly defined success metrics and measurement frameworks in place to evaluate the success and business impact of chosen solutions.Continuously follow up with process owners on user adoption and system rollout success.Translate business strategy into actionable initiatives by identifying, structuring, and prioritizing marketing needs with a clear understanding of strategic impact.Align overall marketing needs to appropriately balance strategic goals with operational needs.Prioritize requests ensuring the most impactful initiatives are delivered in the right order to maximize business value.Stay current on marketing technology trends and B2B digital marketing best practices and advise stakeholders on innovation and optimization opportunities.Champion a unified, scalable, and data-driven sales & marketing ecosystem that supports key sales & marketing processes.Support Information Systems in identifying redundancies, gaps, or inefficiencies in the existing landscape and identifying cohesive, forward-looking alternatives where necessary.Areas to support:Ensure each request is supported by a clear business case, measurable outcomes, and aligned with Sales & Marketing’s overall direction and avoid isolated or siloed approaches.Drive global alignment and consistency by coordinating requests across teams and anchoring with key decision-makers.Regularly align with Manager Systems Governance on roadmap and priorities to match overarching systems roadmap and priorities.Drive assigned projects and tasks and any other ad hoc duties as and when required.Who are we looking for?

You like to see the big picture and work strategically and long-term. A deep understanding of marketing and related technologies is key to succeed in this role.

While you are service minded, you also make sure that processes, procedures and timelines are followed. When necessary, you challenge the information provided to you and you are comfortable with making and justifying difficult decisions.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
Profound experience in digital marketing and marketing technology in a B2B context, working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and IT.Strong understanding of a variety of B2B marketing processes.Strong experience with marketing technology, such as marketing automation platforms, CRMs (Salesforce), events management platforms, website, analytics tools etc.Demonstrated experience from working with marketing technology implementations.Demonstrated ability from business case development and translating business needs into clear, actionable user stories and technically feasible requirements.Skilled at prioritizing strategically, balancing quick wins with long-term business value.Experienced in managing backlogs and working with stakeholders to define and refine roadmaps.Proven experience working with IT teams, architects, developers and marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to speak both “business” and “technical” language and experienced with executive-level discussions.Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data-driven decision-making.Ability to think holistically and avoid one-off solutions by aligning all initiatives to a shared strategic vision.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related area.International experience.Travel may be occasionally required and needs to be planned by yourself and in alignment with your manager and the team. The position is based in Lund.
