Business Process Engineer/Analyst - Hybrid

GDIT is seeking a Business Process Engineer / Business Analyst to support a CBP Financial Systems Modernization (FSMOD) requirement to modernize its financial operations and reengineer key business processes to address inefficiencies and align with federal mandate to support CBP-specific financial and operational needs, ensuring compliance with the executive order to protect America's bank account.

Candidate must be local to the Indianapolis area.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Analyze business processes and identify process improvement opportunities:Analyze overall organization and backgroundEvaluate and document “as is” processing (business flow, data, systems, influencing factors)Map and analyze “as is” processing applying the use of process improvement, reengineering methodologies, graphical interpretation (e.g., Visio)Design and present future state processing optionsWork with CBP to select desired future state processDesign and document the future state process Work with CBP to implement the future state processAs time allows and as required by CBP:Implement a modernized solutionDevelop communication strategy for future state processDevelop change management activities to support the rollout of future stateMonitor measure and refine the new processUnderstand business processes and interpret them to define functional and cross-functional requirements, analyze current as-is processes and conceptualize to-be requirementsStrong analytical skills; ability to effectively analyze & resolve issuesDevelop detailed process maps and business process procedure documentation; Develop Standard Operating Procedures for business usersAdhere to Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) and project documentation and development standards; develop documentation in support of ELC requirements and project needsTogether with Solution Architects, support the design of complex solutions including the implementation of business rules, mobile, online and handheld applications, technical solutions and integration between multiple systemsSupport activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.Leverage group facilitation, user interviewing, user training, and additional forms of knowledge gathering and knowledge transferDevelop PowerPoint and Word briefings, documents and white papersWork with subject matter experts, architect, and business resources to define performance measures and collection methodologySupport Business Process Reengineering capture of time and motion metricsSupport transition of existing solutions and objectives to modernized processes through improved use of automated processes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelors degree preferred in a technical disciple or equivalent years of experience5+ years of hands-on experience; Financial background is a plus5 - 10 years analyzing and reengineering business processes into functional technology solutions (i.e. hands-on experience mapping business requirements, designing reengineered functional solutions and solving business process issues)Agile analysis and design experienceExperience developing data diagrams and process flow chartsStrong understanding of integration points required to develop complex solutions integrating multiple systems,  including but not limited to, combining data from multiple sources, data analyticsInnovative, thinks out of the box, up to date with new technologyExperience with customer facing financial business processes and technology implementationsAbility to obtain a public trust; U.S. citizenship required Experience with DHS CBP is preferredStrong documentation and communication skillsTeam collaboration and effective communication skillsCommitment to designing and delivering innovative and effective solution timely
