Business Process Analyst Sr Advisor

HOW A BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Serves as the lead analyst and main coordinator between business stakeholders and development teams to create, gather, and document requirements for data products and data visualizations supporting contract and service performance.
Recommends and translates moderately complex business data products and data requirements into designs for data visualizations in the form of briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel .
Ability to identify and analyze business needs and facilitate moderately complex requirements sessions and facilitate scrum meetings with a diverse audience.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships for services and projects.
Champions the use of data governance principles. Prepares moderately complex business-technical documentation such as flow charts, models, procedures, and system specifications to be presented both internally and externally.
Uses quantitative and qualitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis.
Solid understanding of financial concepts related to service performance data.
Must be able to collect service performance data and transform into financial (reports and invoice) for PMO contract support. Researches industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practices.
May be responsible for resolution of complex problems escalated by lower level team members
Creates meaningful and trusting relationships with the business by capturing their requests.
Serves as a primary for requirements gathering, performance data, and documentation.
Performs functional modeling based on requirements analysis to measure and report on service status and performance.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships to support efficient business operations.
Serves as advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
Generates briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel in support of the Program Management Office.
Be a liaison when engaging with customer business areas to collect requirements and translate them into actionable service deliveries.
Identifies and modifies complex contextual errors, reorganizes content, and creates and edits graphics, tables, and illustrations.
Writes and updates project documentation including procedures, presentations, and training materials.
Champions the use of data governance principles in a security environment.
Be an empowered team member and leader who deploys GDIT’s methodologies and best practices to work with members of assigned Customer business units to elicit, organize, document and validate business rules, functional and non-functional requirements.
Apply your past job experience and leadership to guide team members and business units in the formulation of solutions to their business problems.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
Determine and apply appropriate analysis skills to elicit, organize, document and validate business rules and functional/non-functional requirement.
Supports continuous improvement in communication, project oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering communication, collaboration, and encouragement.
Works independently under limited supervision.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
● Required Experience: 8+ Years of experience in customer facing role serving as the lead analyst and main coordinator between Engineering, Operations, and customer teams to create requirements for security products and performance reporting.
● Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication, proven stakeholder management, and IT service collaboration
● Preferred Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (to include Project, SharePoint, and Viso), Adobe Acrobat Pro, ITSM (ex. ServiceNow, Jira Service Management)
● Preferred Knowledge: IT Systems, Information Security, IT Risk Management, ITIL, Cybersecurity, Scrum practices
● Location: Hybrid based in Richmond, VA or remote with estimated 25% travel to Richmond, VA or other customer locations.
