Purpose of the position
The Business Process Analyst plays a key role in identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation across the organisation. This role bridges business and technology by analysing, designing, and documenting business processes, ensuring that requirements are well defined for RPA and other digital transformation initiatives. The analyst also manages and maintains the organisation’s process documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for process documentation management - create, update and audit process documentation (work instructions and flowcharts, VSM) Analyse, document, and model business processes using BPMN and other methodologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and automation (including RPA). Prepare high-quality process documentation, business requirements, and solution design for automation projects. Manage and maintain process documentation, ensuring processes are up to date, consistent, and aligned with business needs. Collaborate with RPA developers and IT teams to ensure smooth delivery of automation solutions. Identify and validate relevant data sources, including databases and SAP, to support automation and reporting. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment of requirements. Support the implementation of new processes and monitor performance to ensure expected benefits are achieved. Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the organisation.
