The Wealth Management & Insurance division covers three businesses across all the countries where Grupo Santander operates: insurance, asset management, and private banking. The position is based in Santander Insurance. Our aim is to become the preferred insurer for Santander customers in Europe and Americas through our comprehensive value offering and excellent customer experience. Our bancassurance business model, which is based on joint-ventures, distribution agreements with insurance companies, and Santander own companies, allows us to generate synergies by combining Banco Santander's relationship of trust with its client base on the one hand, and the expertise of first level insurers for risk management on the other

YOUR MISSION
As Business Performance and Planning Director your aim will be to contribute to the successful management of Santander Insurance bancassurance operation across 10+geographies in Europe, North America and Latin America, by ensuring meaningful analysis of the business to anticipate warnings and prioritise business levers.
We need someone like you to help us in several key areas:
Liaise with several Insurance areas to support the business key decisions and prioritize initiatives through deep analysis of business performance, profitability and P&L results in each of the countries where we operate (+10 countries).
Gain a holistic view of Santander global bancassurance operation to anticipate deviations from the plan and identify profit pools to ensure the delivery of results, including Life Risk and Savings and Property and Casualty businesses. Challenge the businesses under unexpected deviations and define plans to solve it.
Develop Strategic and Financial planning exercise engaging with the insurance teams in each country, JVs and own companies to set ambitious plan aligned with the Group needs, ensuring consistency and sustainability of the insurance levers.
Build insurance modelling to track performance, estimate forecast results and project scenarios based on key insurance indicators (Gross written premium, AUMs, new business and stock policies, product mix, accrual commission scheme or financial targets).
Scale best practices to other countries in building recurrent profitability model by deeply understanding commercial activity and accounting schemes in each country
Be agile and rigorous in conducting deep-dive analyses and generating information that is critical to the Group's contribution—such as support materials for the CEO and Global Head of WMI, as well as regular analysis to be presented to the Santander Insurance Board of Directors.
EXPERIENCE
+5-10 years’ experience in the bancassurance or insurance industry.
Senior experience in multinational, matrixed organizations, leading change through positive influence across business units and geographies.
Proven experience in financial planning, scenario analysis and interpreting the full insurance technical margin / P&L.
Strong communication skills to present and discuss key insights and results in C-suite and executive leadership forums
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or Engineering desirable.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
High proficiency in English and Spanish. Portuguese is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage financial models that support budgeting and rolling forecast processes
In-depth knowledge of Santander Group’s structure and operations (desirable), with a track record of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders across diverse functions.
Experience working in international teams with an ability to adapt to cultural differences
