Otis is looking for a Business Partner Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Florence, SC. This role involves steering and supporting Business Unit initiatives and metrics for either the Electrical or Mechanical Category, along with other specified business unit needs. As a Business Partner, the individual will oversee cost-saving projects, negotiate pricing, handle COPQ negotiations, manage PPAP activities, and address price escalations.

Additionally, they will be responsible for managing supplier performance, driving continuous improvement, and developing mitigation plans for pricing, quality, and delivery issues.

This position will also serve as the primary escalation point for our Materials team.

On a typical day you will:

Develop & implement business unit category strategies that achieve the year/year savings cost savings initiatives.

Develop sourcing plans in collaboration with regional or global supply chain on NAA category strategy for synergies.

Facilitate technical reviews with suppliers.

Conduct cost and quote analysis to ensure cost benefit for the project.

As applicable by business unit, update (JDE) MRP part and supplier data requirements.

As applicable by business unit, manage applicable purchase requisitions (OH Non-inventory, OH PPAP)

Support business unit new product introductions, operations improvements (Lean), engineering changes, and work transitions.

Facilitate and / or participate in cross functional team meetings.

Responsible for RFI’s, RFQ’s, analysis, business cases, and ROI.

As applicable by business unit, this position will be responsible for updating all applications including but not limited to ETQ, Teams Logs - GeN3 Core, Sch A/B, RFQ, on daily basis.

Support applicable weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and / or report outs 

What you will need to be successful:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administrations, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering; Master's degree preferred

5+ years in a Supply Chain management function, procurement, or cost management

Familiarity with or experience in lean manufacturing systems and processes, as well as ERP and drawing databases such as Windchill, is preferred

Skills in strategic planning and thinking, combined with strong analytical and execution abilities

Experience with Excel, Power BI, and/or other data manipulation programs

Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams

Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate all levels of management required

Demonstrated project management, change management, and negotiating capabilities is a plus

Knowledge of elevator industry and/or field operations is highly desirable

Ability to travel up to 10%
