This is a fully onsite role at Bloomington Hospital supporting the South Region as it relates to patient flow. Hours are approximately 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday with some flexibility and the individual will need to be available for occasional evening and weekend rounding. This position supports the 24/7 command center, which manages patient transfers and discharges, the bed/desk team, and centralized dispatch team for police facilities. Previous experience in healthcare is strongly preferred.
Assists in the planning, directing and overall operation of business operations. Accountable for day-to-day operations of the department through implementation of strategy, policy, direction and action plans. Manages the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Accountable for driving preeminence throughout the assigned area. Preeminence is being acknowledged as a leader in quality, clinical care, education and research by your peers. Acts as a partner of the IU Health leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for area of responsibility.

• Bachelor's Degree is required or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Requires experience in financial or business operations.
• Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests and goals.
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other performance improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
