ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of department-specific responsibilities and tasks in a training capacity and on a temporary basis.
Perform work assignments linked to department/project goals.Organize and prioritize work assignments on a daily basis, raising questions and issues in a timely manner.Perform functions efficiently within scope of authority as defined by the supervisor.Participate and collaborate with others on office projects as requested.Serve as the on-call member of the consult team for three weeks per month and back-up ethicist for consult team members.Prepare material for the monthly Ethics Committee meetings at each hospital. Help the Ethics Committee Chairs run meetings, which includes ensuring that all consults are appropriately documented and reviewed by each Ethics Committee.Provide educational sessions for physicians, staff, residents and patients and new hire orientation.Attend weekly multidisciplinary rounds in Critical Care at each hospital.Further integrate the Ethics Cerner Note with the current data tracker.All other duties as assigned.Contribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement:
