Job Summary
Responsible for resolving complex technical issues that require strong critical thinking and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Applies specialized expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data analysis to support informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Efficiently investigate and resolve user-reported issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.Document issues and resolutions thoroughly to support knowledge sharing and future troubleshooting.Mentor and support BI Support team members, equipping them to handle recurring and advanced problems.Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations for in-house BI tools across all user levels.Design and deliver ad hoc analytical solutions to address diverse business challenges across the business.Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to, or train, junior-level support or professional personnel.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications
2 to 4 years of experience in BI development or data analysis.
Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Service functionalities.
Experience with data modeling concepts and techniques for reporting.
Proficient SQL querying skills to extract data from various sources.
Understanding of data visualization best practices to create insightful reports.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders.
