Job Summary:
The Global Networking Sales (GNS) Sales Strategy & Planning organization is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative Analytics team. In this elevated role, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, driving data-led decision-making across the organization. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable analytics solutions that influence high-impact business strategies within Cisco’s multi-billion-dollar networking business.
As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior analysts, shape best practices, and partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Sales, Business Entities, Finance, and Operations. You will leverage advanced analytics tools—including Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and SAP HANA—to create compelling data stories, automate key processes, and transform complex data into actionable insights that drive measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Data Leadership: Lead complex data analyses and provide forward-looking insights to support executive-level planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
Scalable BI Solutions: Translate business objectives into scalable data and analytics solutions that drive cross-functional decision-making and long-term impact.
Enterprise Analytics & Adoption: Lead large-scale analytics initiatives and promote organizational adoption of data-driven decision-making through influence, enablement, and strategic storytelling.
Executive-Ready Insights: Transform complex data into intuitive, executive-ready dashboards and reports that surface key performance indicators, track trends, and guide strategic actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across GNS, Sales, Business Entities (BE), and Finance to align analytical priorities with business strategy.
Innovation & Automation: Drive process automation and streamline data workflows to improve scalability, efficiency, and operational agility across the analytics ecosystem.
Mentorship & Governance: Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of analytics for best practices, standards, and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
5–8 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, or a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering strategic insights in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data solutions and present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel. Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BI, or equivalent enterprise data platforms is strongly preferred.
Proven experience working with sales and pipeline data; knowledge of Cisco data sets and tools is a strong plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, growth mindset.
